Horo Guduru Welega Honey development
One of the achievment of EFDA is the capacity building of farmers in Horo Gururu Welega where our organization boost the production of honey with modern hives. The modern bee hives are much profitable than the traditional hives and it give sustainable income to the farmers. The production of honey gives also the opportunity to conerve the environment in order to protect the bees within well preserved eco-system. EFDA has a long term strategy where farmers could keep their lands from degradation and at the same time incur income out of the evironmental friengly farming methods.
EFDA receives technical assistance from Arkansas, U.S by sending bee and honey expert where on the above picture, the honey producers are with him to grab the new production method using the modern hives. on the botton left pic, the expert is with Mr. Tucho demonstrating farming technics.
